Most Wildborn are created by chance, given the boon of Veles on a whim - the unpredictable behavior of a mercurial god. Certain tribes and cultures have come to realize that the God of Nature can be appeased, and spend time and resources preparing a candidate of their own to be turned into Wildborn once Veles has accepted their offerings. These children are usually sequestered and lonely, and many do not remain competely sane once their transformation is complete. |
