Solstice rituals in the Land of Rod are subtly different from village to village, but their core take its roots from before even the first full demonic invasion. All manner of fey creatures would be allowed to drink, dance and be merry. Then a pyre would be built, and all wrong-doers, criminals and demonic entities that desired to harm the community would be cast upon it. Those that attempt escape would be hunted down by the Son of the Solstice - usually a Wildborn that has become an avatar of the Hunter, an executioner for Veles and his kin. |
