Wildborn manifest their "gifts" in various ways. Their connection to nature and to Veles' divine power can sometimes result in them adopting animalistic features such as feathers or claws, while at other times they begin to adopt plant traits such as the ability to feed on sunlight and water. More often than not, these changes eventually prove deadly to the unfortunate Wildborn. If they survive this, the other denizens of the forest give them titles parodying royalty - Duke of Claws, or Bark Prince; sometimes in jest, but more often out of fear. |
